India - India’s current wireless subscriber base is approximately 146.54 million, and subscription growth is expected at around 75 per cent during the financial year 2007.

Russia - The cell phone market in Russia is the second fastest growing in the world. In 1999, about one percent of Russians owned a cell phone. Five years later, 90 percent of residents in Moscow and St. Petersburg, had phones and service. Even as the metropolitan markets build out, nearly 60 percent of the country's people still do not have cell phones and live in areas that are too difficult to reach with traditional land lines. Mobile handset sales growth in Russia continues to be one of the fastest in the world.

Vietnam - In the first 11 months of 2005, Vietnam added 4.3 million wireless subscribers, according to the Vietnam VNPT, raising the total number of mobile telephone subscribers in the country to 14.6 million.
