Unity Wireless Begins Installation of Repeaters For Indonesia’s Largest GSM Network Operator

Part of an ongoing contract with PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia and the Singapore Telecom Group’s (Singtel) TELKOMSEL

BURNABY, BC--Jan 25, 2007 -- Unity Wireless Corporation (OTCBB:UTYW), and it’s Indonesian partner IRIL Nusantara Telekomunikasi (INT), today announced that they have begun the installation of a 111 unit repeater order for that country’s largest GSM carrier, TELKOMSEL. The most profitable telecommunication company owned by PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia and the Singapore Telecom Group (Singtel), TELCOMSEL has more than 35 million customers throughout Indonesia.

First mentioned in Unity’s press release of November 6 2006, when the contract was awarded, the installation of the sites is being executed by IRIL Nusantara Telekomunikasi (INT), and is expected to be completed ahead of schedule.

"Installations are quite challenging due to the remote locations, extreme weather conditions and the lack of adequate infrastructure on site. This requires unique expertise and engineering capabilities of a dedicated staff and support by comprehensive communication equipment," said Mr. Saleh Effendi, Chairman of INT.

"The combination of Unity’s robust and competitively priced Celletra repeater technology, with the regional and technical expertise of our Indonesian partner, INT, has resulted in this successful, ongoing contract with PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia and the Singapore Telecom Group’s (Singtel) TELKOMSEL" said Ilan Kenig, President and CEO of Unity Wireless.

Mr. Kenig continued, "Unity is experiencing exciting growth in our South East Asian region and we anticipate further break throughs as 2007 progresses."
